Great Washington Wineries to Check out near Port Angeles
- Harbinger Winery: The tasting room resides in a rustic converted logging truck stop, where you’ll sip among the barrels. While the wine is produced and bottled here on site, this is one of the Washington wineries near Port Angeles that sources its grapes from vineyards in Eastern Washington in the Frenchman Hills, Rattlesnake Ridge, and Prosser. On your visit, you can enjoy a flight of their award-winning wines, along with nibbles of cheese and chocolate.
- Camaraderie Cellars: Enjoy cozy garden spaces and a fire pit at this stop along your harvest wine tour. As one of the smaller, boutique Washington wineries, they only produce around 3,000 cases per year. Grapes are sourced from the bountiful slopes in Eastern Washington. The winemaker focuses on staying as accurate to the fruit as possible, creating clean and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, and Italian varietals.
- Olympic Cellars: You can’t miss this woman-owned and operated winery, located in a big, red barn in the countryside of Port Angeles. They’ve just finished construction on their outdoor “Sipping Deck” for an even more comfortable experience for all-weather wine tasting. Make sure to taste the barrel selection, poured directly from the barrel into your glass.
- Wind Rose Cellars: Located right in the heart of our charming downtown area in Sequim, this Italian-style winery crafts fantastic varietals with luscious fruit from the Yakima Valley. Stop by the tasting room for a flight of six of their beautifully crafted wines, pop in for a snack to share with friends, and you might even catch some live music from some of the local talents.

Each year in November, the Washington wineries on the Olympic Peninsula celebrate the season with the Harvest Wine Tour. Sadly, due to the ongoing pandemic, the 2020 tour was canceled last year. Thankfully, with safety measures in place and outdoor spaces converted, the 2021 Harvest Wine Tour is a go. The four Washington wineries we profiled above all participate in the Harvest Wine Tour as part of the stops along the way.
The Harvest Wine Tour events change yearly, but past celebrations have included special wine tastings of sought-after vintages, new releases, and reserve bottles. Many of the participating Washington wineries provide autumnal snacks, reduced pricing, and live entertainment. November is a great time to experience the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula in the fall, enjoy the crisp, clear days, and start to think about what it could be like to live out in this neck of the woods.
